A Clinical Study on Laparoscopic and Abdominal Myomecomy

Abstract
|

|
Objective :To evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of laparoscopic myomectomy compare to open abdominal myomectomy.
Methods :retrospective study of 45 case of myomectomy was performed. Twenty two cases of laparoscopic myomectomy and twenty three cases of open myomectomy were done from Jan 2005 to Dec 2005 in the department of OBGYN at Konyang University Hospital.
Result :There were no significant difference in age, parity, the number of myoma, Mean operation time was shorter in open myomectomy group. But it can be overcome by technical training. Blood loss was decreased in laparoscopic myomectomy group.
Conclusion :Laparoscopic myomectomy could be an exellent minimally invasive method as an alternative open myomectomy after taking advanced operation technique.
